In June, I briefly stopped at Taipei to visit some friends. For the first time, I went to Taipei as a tourist rather than for business. I was excited to spend a few days exploring the city and sample more of the Taiwanese delicacies such as beef noodle soup, dumplings, bubble tea and many more at the night markets. In 48 hours, I prayed at the majestic Lungshan Temple, walked through the vast memorials commemorating historic figures, Chiang Kai-shek and Sun Yat-sen, browsed through Chinese antiquities of the National Palace Museum, and toasted to sunset at Taipei 101. For such a small city, Taipei has a big heart, and I hope to return soon!
