Home sweet home

Home sweet home

Finally back in Santa Monica, and it feels great to be home for a short bit. After living out of the suitcase in the islands for six weeks, I forgot that I had a closet. Legs are little beat up from surfing and jungle bug bites, but scars are sexy, right?

This is one of my go-to "errand" outfits, when I need to check off my to-do list for the day. The top and bottom are voluminous and airy, so my body can move quickly from one point to another. My white sneakers have a woven texture to make it a little more interesting. I love crossbody bags to keep both my hands free, and the bright yellow gives me that extra boost to power through my day. Last but not least, classic aviators to shield my eyes from the bright LA sunshine.

Ironically, everything in this outfit was bought outside the United States except for the Ray-Ban sunglasses. The top and bottoms were from Korea. The necklace was from Central America. The cross-body bag was from France, and the sneakers were from Japan. At first, this seems like a normal outfit you can get here. When you look closer, there are definitely small details influenced by each of these regions. Travel has been a huge part of my life, and I love mixing and matching styles from different parts of the world.
